Winter in the Mendips

by John Hayden on December 7th, 2010
WINTER IN THE MENDIPS

The winter of 1962-1963 was one of the hardest in living memory,  especially in the Mendip Hills  of Somerset.

The painting depicts a Somerset and Dorset Railway freight battling uphill through the fresh snow.
